Reading your FAA medical file into the report is mandatory for the psychiatrist in most cases.
If you have a letter from the FAA suggesting or requiring your aviation psychiatric evaluation, look closely and see if the letter says something like this:
“In advance of the evaluation, you will need to authorize us to release a copy of your entire FAA Medical File to the HIMS Psychiatrist. The HIMS Psychiatrist must comment in their report on having received and reviewed the entire FAA Medical File and address the clinically relevant information in the context of the evaluation.”
The FAA Medical File window opens in a new page. After making your selection, or if you’ve already returned the FAA release form to me, return here and click the blue arrow.
